- Beach Rides
Daily riding along 8km of picturesque Noordhoek Beach.
Our horses to cater for all levels of experience. We generally have 2
guides that accompany our rides so those that just want a nice relaxing
stroll can stay at the walk and for the more experienced rider we offer
trotting and cantering beach permitting. We are fortunate not to ride on
any roads and leave straight from the stables through the wetlands and
onto Noordhoek beach. Enjoy scenic views of Chapman’s Peak, and the
remain of the Kakapo shipwreck.
One hours drive from Cape Town, a wonderful world of
adventure awaits you on the West Coast. Enjoy scenic, rugged beauty
spread over vastly different vegetation, from leafy avenues to sweeping
views across the open fields. Bordering on the West Coast Fossil Park
Nature Reserve, daily out-rides are taken under the guidance of a
qualified SANEF horse riding instructor. No experience is needed.
During spring you can enjoy natures flower display amongst the dunes
Enjoy a one hour vineyard trail (suitable for the
beginner) or the two hour trail (suitable for people who can trot and
canter). Great views! Join the wine tasting - suitable for any level of
rider, you decide how long & how many wineries to visit. Beach rides on
Kleinmond Beach. Be sure to try our “Track down the wild horse” ride!
Choose between 2 hour ride or full day ride with lunch. The full day
trail stops for lunch at "Dassiesfontein". Only for fit, regular riders
through great scenery, over hills, through rivers and wheat fields.
Daily Horse Rides in Knysna forest. Twice daily, visitors
go on an unforgettable forest horse ride, accompanied by experienced
guides. From beginners to experienced riders can enjoy the lovely Knysna
forest, indigenous trees, giant strelitzia, ferns growing wild, fynbos,
small streams, mountain views from another angle on horseback.

A quiet ride through Sub-Tropical Coastal Hills - and
Riverines to the Beaches of the Wild Coast. Come Ride with Us ... and
you will see rolling hills, rich Savannah grasslands and thick-forested
valleys with multitudes of rivulets cascading down to rivers that
eventually spill out onto quiet sandy beaches, fantastic high rise
cliffs and spectacular rock formations.
The Drakensberg is South Africa's highest and most
impressive mountain range. High in the foothills, surrounded by towering
mountains, forests and streams is a unique family resort offering horse
riders an ideal mount in our stable of more than 20 horses. Rides
through splendid scenery. Enjoy our breathtaking scenery and temperate
climate. Climb mountains, forge rivers and race over plains through
unspoilt scenery in the foothills of this World Heritage Site.
- Near Kruger Park
You are sitting astride a horse as it stands face to face
with a buffalo and curiously sniffs the buffalo’s nose. Just half an
hour later you are standing, relaxed, close to two rhinos, photographing
them from the saddle as they seek shade from the midday sun. This same
horse will then carry you, unflinchingly, along paths bordered on both
sides with an abundance of game, tracking leopard.
Lesotho, adjacent to South Africa, is a rugged
mountainous country with few fences. It is an ideal venue to hire a pony
from the local Basuthu people. Journey through the valleys and hills of
this spectacular Mountain Kingdom. Rides lasting from a few hors to a
few days are on offer. See spectacular waterfalls and sleep over in
traditional villages. Experience local culture as well as the variety of
flora and birdlife.
- Milwane Wildlife sanctuary
Departing from the Milwane Rest Camp, day and overnight
rides are available. Meet the local people as you ride through community
areas. The rides are suitable for both beginner and experienced riders.
Overnight trails range from 1 - 4 days. Accommodation is tents, a cave
or in bush camps.
