Woodbury Lodge is spectacularly set against a cliff above the Bushmans River valley. It offers an intimate and tranquil experience of the Eastern Cape riverine bushveld at its best. It is the ideal place for families to relax and enjoy the bush together. Guests are often thrilled by the late afternoon sighting of the elephant herd passing by. 

All rooms have private decks and large bathrooms with a view over the plains. Child minding facilities available. A range of game viewing and other activities such as the river cruise and bush walks are on offer, or you could just recline around the communal swimming pool and enjoy some sun while the birds keep you company. The Bush Lodge, offers en-suite, tented and thatched suites overlooking  a wild life watering point with big sky views. Each suite of the Game Lodge has a secluded private viewing deck with intimate plunge pool. Set in a secluded valley flanked by sub-tropical thicket covered ridges, Quatermain’s camp embodies the original spirit of safari. This classic 1920’s style expedition camp is modeled on the heyday of exploration. Our intimate 6 bed camp offers you the opportunity to experience “Africa under canvas”, with three crisp white 1900’s style safari tents fitted out with military campaign style furnishings.

Relax in the centralized boma area where local delicacies are prepared in front of you on an open fire, and dinner is served under a blanket of stars. Carnarvon Dale once provided lodgings for travelers, whose journeys had been halted by the flooded Bushmans River. In that same tradition of hospitality, Roger and Maryan Hart welcome guests to their 1820 Settler farmhouse, the Bottom House, and the 1907 Edwardian Top House, which offer comfortable, owner-managed accommodation in  en-suite, serviced bedrooms. 

The Lodge offers wildlife enthusiasts 5-star game drives on Amakhala and also on Shamwari Game Reserve. Carnarvon Dale consists of the Settler farmhouse, the Bottom House, and an elegantly restored early Edwardian cottage, the Top House.
