Guests arrive at George Airport at around 12h00. On arrival
you will be met by a representative from Explore The Garden Route
and your tour will begin.
Arriving in Knysna, there is time to discover the craftsmen, who
have settled in the area from every corner of South Africa. This
region has a tremendous range of arts and crafts, in all mediums.
We wind up the day with a sunset lagoon cruise on the beautiful
Knysna Lagoon. Overnight in Knysna.
After breakfast at the Knysna Quays, we head on to Plettenberg
Bay and Natures Valley. Originally named Bahia Formosa (Beautiful
Bay) by the first Portuguese explorers, Plettenberg Bay more than
lives up to its name as you spend the day in its environs,
experiencing your choice of the 101 delights available in the area.
The coastal road we follow wends it's way along steep river
gorges, over spectacular mountain passes and through dense
indigenous forests and ferns. We visit the tiny settlement of
Nature's Valley, one of the loveliest havens of tranquility along
the Garden Route. Our exploration of this ancient forest leads
through the tangle of trees, ferns and creepers and the the
undisputed monarch of the forest - gigantic Outeniqua Yellowwoods.

Keurbooms River Cruise or the Knysna Elephant Park.

Finding our way into the unique Klein Karoo by way of the superb
Outeniqua Pass, we travel through a string of picturesque small
towns set in this uniquely beautiful scenery. We arrive in the town
of Oudtshoorn, principal centre of the Klein Karoo and undisputed
"ostrich capital" of the world. Our itinerary includes a visit to a
fascinating Ostrich Show Farm where, amidst enormous flocks of these
strange birds, we are shown their development from the one kg egg to
the 100 kg adult.
We then visit one of the great wonders of Africa - the
subterranean wonderland of Cango Caves. For a tour of this vast
sequence of caverns, each filled with astonishing formations of

tigers, crocodiles and much more. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.
head down to Mossel Bay. Enjoy a boat ride out to Seal Island to
view seals, whales and sometimes the Great White Shark or We also
explore the Diaz Museum. We drop of our guests at 12h00 George
Airport for your onward flight.
This itinerary can be a four day or five day tour. If travelers wish
to do a 4 day tour, then day 3 of the above itinerary will fall
