of golf design in South Africa.

Fancourt. As a designer of the golf courses, I
experienced one of the greatest thrills of my
career here when captaining the International

St Francis Links
Jack Nicklaus has had the pleasure of taking Mother
Nature's best piece of links land and
signed his name to something special and unique. St
Francis Links will challenge all who play it and
reward those who respect it.
It is the bunkering that truly defines the quality
and character of St Francis Links.
From the opening drive, St Francis Links carries a
look and feel that breathes history from times gone
by. The greens have simply been placed on top
of the sand, changing shape in construction as the
wind changed its mind. Some are more undulating than
others. All putting surfaces and green surrounds
present a mental and physical test.

Lost City &
Gary Player Courses
Gary Player:
Home to the prestigious Nedbank Golf Challenge, this
course features a clever design, and its multiple
tees make it equally enjoyable for the keen novice
and the skilled professional. From the championship
tees the course measures a staggering 8000 yards.
However, making use of the intermediary and forward
tees does not compromise the course design.
The course offers lightning fast putting surfaces,
constant changes in elevation, and challenging water
hazards that will thoroughly examine every aspect of
your game. Its kikuyu fairways and bent-grass greens
provide the perfect playing surface, while the
imaginatively placed bunkers make for a challenging
round of golf.
Lost City Golf Course with the undulating and rocky
terrain has an 18-hole desert-style golf course
which is surrounded by spectacular views across the
bushveld. Wide fairways, a series of lakes which
separates the ninth with the finishing hole, the
course covers more than 100 hectares and
incorporates 28 000 square meters of water features.
Golf Caddy carts are available.
